The International Student Advising (ISA) is a unit under the International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS), formerly known as International Program and Services (IPS). ISA provides focused support for our increasing number of international students on all immigration advising to our F and J visa holders.

  • Drop-In Career Advising- Walk in between 1-3 p.m. any Friday for a chance to talk to career counselor, Judi Garcia. She will help students create a job search strategy, review resumes, and advise on the interview process.
  • Scam Alert!- There continue to be many scams targeting international students. Scams are fraudulent or deceptive services that try to acquire money from you illegally. Please be aware that the U.S. government, police, and/or USCIS will never call you and demand money. If you feel that you have been a victim of a scam, please contact the police immediately. If you are not sure if a call is a scam or not please hang up and contact the ISSS office before giving out any personal information.
  • Travel Ban 3.0 Update- On June 26, 2018, the Supreme Court announced that it upheld The Presidential Proclamation 9645, which provides country-specific entry restrictions for citizens of Iran, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Syria, Venezuela and Yemen. For more information please read here.
