Each week we rotate through different themes:
- S=Social: Meet others, play games, and hang out.
- C=Culture: Develop intercultural skills and explore cultural topics.
- W=Wellness: Tips & tricks to a healthy mind and body.
- L&L=Lunch & Learn: Enjoy lunch while learning from a guest speaker.

[S] January 27: Spring Kick Off Event (FREE LUNCH)
Let’s start the year off right! Join us for lunch, new friends, games, and conversation.

[C] February 3: Friendships Across Cultures
Making friends isn't always easy. Join us for an interactive discussion exploring the topic of friendship and what it means in different cultures. Come up with tips & strategies for making new friends. Snacks will be provided.

[L&L] February 10: Love & Relationships in Different Cultures (FREE LUNCH)
Dr. Kyoung Mi Choi and Dr. Robert Marx lead a discussion about love and relationships just in time for Valentine's Day. Lunch is provided.
[W] February 17: Managing Perfektionism
Ever feel like you have certain standards that you try to meet but you have a hard time being satisfied? If so, you may be struggling with perfectionism. Please join Minji Yang (CAPS Counselor) to learn about what perfectionism is and how to develop self-compassion to help you be an overall more successful and healthy SJSU student! Snacks will be provided.

Take a study break and relax with some board games. Snacks will be provided.
[S] March 2: Fun & Games--International Edition
Kick off the start of Global Spartan Month by playing some games from around the world. Have a game from another culture you'd like to share? Bring it with you and teach us how to play! Snacks provided.
[L&L] March 9: Celebrating Norwuz (Persian New Year)
Parinaz Zartoshty, Director of ISSS, shares about the Persian New Year celebration. Lunch is provided.
[W] March 16: Building Gratitude
Research shows that feeling grateful can increase people's satisfaction in life. This workshop will thus focus on learning about ways to feel grateful in your life to optimize your psychological health. Come join CAPS Counselor, Minji Yang, to learn about gratitude and practice being grateful in your everyday life! Snacks will be provided.
[C] March 23: Spring Break in the U.S.
Needs ideas for last-minute spring break adventures? Join Soo-Jin Sohn (International Student Advisor) and Lena Meadows (SEVIS Coordinator) in a discussion about places to see and things to do in California. Snacks will be provided.

Take a study break and come hang out with us. Snacks will be provided.
[L&L] April 13: Slang (FREE LUNCH)
Increase your ability to understand American English idioms to communicate what you mean in college and work environments. Presented by International Gateways staff. Lunch is provided.

Interviewing for or starting a summer job or internship? Curious about what the workplace is like in the U.S.? Join in our discussion about work culture in the U.S. and around the world. Snacks provided.
[W] April 27: Developing Grit
Find yourself feeling streed out and at times feeling like you want to give up when something is hard? Grit, also known as having "passion and perserverance for long-term goals" (Duckworth, Peterson, Matthews, & Kelly, 2007, p. 1087), can help! Snacks will be provided.
[S] May 4: End-of-the-Year Party
