Notes:

  1. ALL BUSINESS students - to satisfy the Business Computer Tools Requirement, either (1) enroll in 091L, (2) challenge the course by enrolling in a section of 91L and taking the Challenge Exams, or (3) transfer credit from another institution and obtain waiver for 91L.
  2. MIS students who entered the program before Fall 2002 should take 188 to satisfy the Business Information Systems Requirement. MIS students who enter the program in Fall 2002 and afterwards should take 110A to satisfy the Business Information Systems Requirement. All other business students should take 188 to satisfy the Business Information Systems Requirement.
  3. BUS 110A, formerly known as 110, is still the same coursework and fulfills the same requirement (Course Catalog Number was changed).
  4. BUS 93 is no longer a Lower Division course. It is now an Upper Division course - 110B.
  5. SPECIAL NOTE for BUS 111-02 in Spring 10: Experimentally run as a synchronous online course with live online instruction at the scheduled times. Student can stay at work and take class during lunch. Students can participate live using Elluminate, a free (for SJSU students) customized took for live online learning. Student needs a sound-enabled Internet connected computer (May need headphones if in a lab or cubicle at work.) Students required to be present in class on the 1st Day and at midterms and final.   6. SPECIAL NOTE for BUS 112-02 in Spring 10: Experimentally run as a synchronous online class with live online instruction at the scheduled times. Students can participate in class remotely using Elluminate online learning software, available for free to SJSU students. To use Elluminate, students will need a sound-enabled computer connected to the Internet (and may need headphones if they are using it in a lab or library). Onsite attendance during the first and last two weeks of the semester is required. Additionally, students must take the midterm and final exams in the classroom on dates as specified in the course syllabus.
