If you need software on a computer that is provided by the university, please contact the desktop support technician [pdf] who is responsible for your department and ask them for assistance installing the software you are looking for.

Adobe Software

Adobe Creative Suite is available to faculty, staff, and currently enrolled students.

Please review the instructions on eCampus' Adobe Software instructions page for details about how to request access to Adobe Creative Cloud.

FileMaker Pro Advanced

SJSU students can download FileMaker Pro Advanced by completing the instructions on FileMaker Software Allowance for SJSU Students.



Sign up for a free Lucidchart account on the Lucidchart website with your campus email address. Your account will be automatically upgraded to an Educational account.


Complete the Software License Request form.

Microsoft Software


Visit Microsoft Office for Students and sign up for Office 365 for free. You have access for as long as you are an enrolled student.

Faculty & Staff

Microsoft Office and Windows are available at a nominal cost from the campus bookstore website.

Sophos Antivirus Software

To download Sophos Antivirus, visit SJSU Antivirus.

SAS Statistical Software

SAS software is only available to university faculty for university related research. Because SJSU has a limited number of SAS licenses, requests for this software must be approved, please fill out the Software License Request form to obtain this software.


AMOS software is only available to university faculty. Because SJSU has a limited number of AMOS licenses, requests for this software must be approved, please fill out the Software License Request form to obtain this software.

SPSS Statistical Software from IBM

SPSS software from IBM is available to all faculty, staff, and currently enrolled students.
