The Department of Justice Studies invites all new freshman and transfer students, as well as all returning undergraduates, to an Open House where you can speak with advisors from our department.
If you are a returning student who needs a permission code to add JS 159 (Senior Seminar), you will be happy to know that you can receive your permission code here. Below are the requirements to receive a permission code:
Justice Studies Majors: Please be sure to bring proof that you have satisfactorily completed 100W, JS 105 and have applied for graduation for Fall 2009 to be considered eligible for enrollment. You may not ask to be waitlisted or have a spot reserved for you. You need to attend the Open House.
Forensic Science Majors: Please be sure to bring proof that you have satisfactorily completed 100W, have applied for graduation for Fall 2009 and that you are a Forensic Science major. You may not ask to be waitlisted or havea spot reserved for you. You need to attend the Open House.
Graduate Students: You need to bring your acceptance letter from our department that states that JS 159 is a prerequisite so you can be fully classified. You may not ask to be waitlisted or havea spot reserved for you. You need to attend the Open House.
All the above documentation can be printed from MySJSU. There will be no computer access at the Open House, so YOU MUST furnish all paperwork prior to the Open House.
If you are a student who needs to add JS 170, permission codes will be available for you as well. Please be advised that you MUST have your Pre-Registration Form completely filled out to receive your permission code.
