Virginia Montelongo is a lecturer in the Department of Justice Studies. A native of San José City, she is an alumni of San José State University with a Masters Degree. She also teaches at Evergreen Valley College, and has taught Criminal Procedures, Introduction to Corrections, Introduction to Criminal Investigation, Contemporary Policing, and Juvenile Justice. In addition, she proposed and teaches "Women and the Criminal Justice System," and is awaiting certification on a new class "Probation, Parole, and, Evidence-Based Community Corrections." She gains satisfaction from teaching students how to become contributing members to society, and encourages students to "Each One, Teach One." Virginia is also a full time Deputy Probation Officer for the County of Santa Clara.
