Beyond the Books

Justice Studies Task Force

For the past three years, the JS Task Force has hosted six Beyond the Books career panels. Professional in the field are invited to speak to students regarding how they obtained their career, what their job is really like, and provide advice to students interested in that field. In addition to the panel and Q&A, there is an opportunity for students to meet the presenters. Each semester has a different theme, past events covered topics such as: Probation, Law and Order, Policing, Federal Law Enforcement, After the Crime (What happens after a homicide?), and Critters in Criminal Justice. These are great informational events and provide an opportunity for students to make contacts for possible employment and/or internships!
