Undergraduate Degree Program Student Learning Outcomes
Students will be able to:
- Demonstrate the ability to research, organize, evaluate, and communicate information in the discipline of Kinesiology, using technological resources and communication tools. (Skills commonly encompassed by the term information competence)
- Describe the reciprocal relationship between sport and the philosophical, historical, or sociological perspectives of society.
- Examine and analyze physical activity as it relates to the physiological responses and adaptations to exercise
- Describe movement and analyze how mechanical concepts and principles apply to effective and efficient movement.
- Describe and analyze the acquisition and enhancement of motor skill performance and utilize methods and strategies to minimize the decline of motor skill performance.
- Utilize measurement concepts and theory to assess performance in the cognitive and psychomotor domains and assess program effectiveness.
Graduate Degree Program Student Learning Outcomes
Students will be able to:
- synthesize information in Kinesiology and communicate it clearly and concisely in a written manner utilizing appropriate APA style.
- synthesize information in Kinesiology and communicate it clearly and concisely in an oral manner.
- demonstrate the acquisition of knowledge and strength in an area of study within Kinesiology through the graduate culminating experience.
