A TOTAL OF 35 UNITS ARE REQUIRED FOR GRADUATION (Revised 2016)

1ST FALL SEMESTER (8 units)

  • KIN 268: Evidence Based Practice in the Recognition, Management, and Rehabilitation of Athletic Injuries to the Lower Extremities: 2 units
  • KIN 292A: Leadership and Administration in Athletic Training: 1 unit
  • KIN 271: Advanced Topics in Athletic Training: 3 units (Elective) / or any other elective course
  • KIN 293A: Fieldwork in Athletic Training I: 2 units

1ST SPRING SEMESTER (8 units)

  • KIN 269: Evidence Based Practice (EBP) in the Recognition, Management, and Rehabilitation of Athletic Injuries to the Upper Extremities: 2 units
  • KIN 273: Evidence Based Research (EBR) in the Practice of Therapeutic Modalities: 2units
  • KIN 292B: Seminar in Sports Medicine II: 2 units
  • KIN 293B: Fieldwork in Athletic Training II: 2 units

2ND FALL SEMESTER (11 units)

  • KIN 272: Evidence Based Research (EBR) in the Practice of Therapeutic Exercise: 3 units
  • KIN 250: Fundamentals of Quantitative Research: 3 units
  • KIN 251: Fundamentals of Qualitative Research: 3units
  • KIN 293C: Fieldwork in Athletic Training III: 2 units

2ND SPRING SEMESTER (8 units):

Option: Complete either of Plan A for Master’s Thesis (6 units) or Plan B for Project (3 units) plus One Elective Course (3 units)

  • KIN 293D: Fieldwork in Athletic Training IV: 2 units
  • Elective course: 3 units
  • KIN 298: Special Studies/Plan B Project: 3 units or KIN 299: Master's Thesis 6 units without elective course for 3 units
