Undergraduate (B.S.) Program

The mission of the Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP) is to prepare qualified athletic trainers for the profession by establishing their eligibility to take the Board of Certification (BOC) Examination.

The emphasis is placed on developing cognitive skills, psychomotor mastery, and affective values in:

  • Injury Prevention;
  • Clinical Evaluation and Diagnosis;
  • Immediate Care;
  • Treatment, Rehabilitation, and Reconditioning;
  • Organization and administration; and
  • Professional Responsibility.

Student education occurs in courses and in a variety of clinical experineces. Our program prepares students for entry-level careers in the care, prevention and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
