The Learning Assistance Resource Center is designed to guide students in the development of their academic potential and to motivate them to become self-directed, lifelong learners.
Tutoring services are provided by peer tutors for San José State University students in many introductory and intermediate courses taught at the university.
Students can sign up for weekly appointments or use our drop-in tutoring assistance. Drop-in is on a first come, first-served basis, with a 30-minute time limit when other students are waiting.
All services are offered to registered San José State University students free of charge.
The Learning Assistance Resource Center is located on the corner of 10th Street and San Fernando Street in the Student Services Center (SSC 600). If you look at the campus map the Student Services Center is located in the top right corner.
The tutorial hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:30 am until 5:00 pm and Friday, 9:00 am until 4:00 pm.
