The Learning Assistance Resource Center is designed to guide students in the development of their academic potential and to inspire them to become self-directed, lifelong learners.

Tutoring services are provided by peer tutors for San José State University students in many introductory and intermediate courses taught at the university.

Students can sign up for appointments 2 weeks in advance or come in for same-day appointments. Appointments range from 15 minutes up to an hour. Students who completed the activation card for the current semester may also call the LARC office at (408) 924-2587 to schedule an appointment.

All services are offered to registered San José State University students free of charge.

The Learning Assistance Resource Center is located on the corner of 10th Street and San Fernando Street in the Student Services Center (SSC 600). If you look at the campus map the Student Services Center is located in the top right corner.

The tutorial hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:30 am until 5:00 pm and Friday, 9:00 am until 4:00 pm.
