SJSU's B.A. in Liberal Studies, Teacher Preparation is an approved Subject Matter Program for multiple-subject K-8 teachers in California. This dynamic major allows students to explore a wide range of disciplines in the arts, humanities, mathematics, science, and social sciences while developing the practical skills that all good teachers need.
Newly admitted students are encouraged to visit campus on Admitted Spartan Day to meet our faculty and to speak with advisors who can help you develop a meaningful plan of study that will allow you to graduate on time with a marketable degree in hand.
Currently matriculated students who wish to transfer into the Liberal Studies, Teacher Preparation Program must have completed at least 12 units of SJSU course work with a minimum GPA of 2.40.
Whether you are new to our campus, a continuing student, or ready to graduate, we encourage you to visit the College's Student Success Center in 244 Clark to speak with one of our professional advisors.
