William R. Skinner is an associate in the Tax Group of Fenwick & West LLP. His practice focuses on representing U.S. and foreign-based multinationals on international and general corporate tax issues. He graduated from Stanford Law School with distinction in 2005, serving as a member of the Stanford Law Review, and subsequently, as a clerk for the Honorable Carlos T. Bea, U.S. circuit court of appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He regularly speaks at international tax seminars, and has published several articles, including on the taxation of CVRs (Journal of Taxation, 2010) and the international implications of the stock basis recovery regulations (Journal of Taxation, 2009). He is licensed to practice in the state of California.
