While the MSA Admissions Committee makes the final admissions decision, the overall admissions process for all SJSU graduate programs is managed by the SJSU Graduate Admissions and Program Evaluations.
Your application can ONLY be submitted online via the CSUMentor
website. You must submit a payment of USD$55.00. Payment Options: Personal check (drawn on a U.S. bank or an international bank with a U.S. branch), cashier's check, or credit/debit card via the CSUMentor website.
Note: While the recommended payment method is a credit/debit card, if you are sending a personal check or a cashier's check, please make it payable to SJSU and send it directly to the following address:
You may check your status online using the user ID and password provided by Graduate Studies and Research at MYSJSU. Your user ID and password will be created one week after you submit your application.
Your file is complete when all necessary documents are received by the Graduate Studies and Program Evaluations office. The University evaluator will verify that your undergraduate degree is equivalent to a U.S. four-year bachelor’s degree and that the grades for the last 60 semester units or 90 quarter units (approximately the last two academic years) are equivalent to approximately a 3.0 GPA or better (on a 4.0 scale). Graduate Admissions and Program Evaluations cannot pre-evaluate degree prior to admission. An applicant must go through the formal application process to find out if the degree earned is equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree.
Once your degree is evaluated it will then be referred to the MSA Admissions Committee for final review and an admissions decision. The MSA Admissions Committee will review your transcript(s), grade point average, GMAT score, personal statement, resume, and reference letters. Applications are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
