Calculus Placement Exam

The Calculus Placement Exam can be used to satisfy the prerequisites for the first semester of calculus, including Math 30, Math 30P, Math 30PL and Math 71. More information,  can be found on the Calculus Placement Exam Information page.

We  discourage students who have taken or are taking Math 19 to take the CPE in order to place into a class that is higher than the class they are eligible for based on their Math 19 grade. A student's grade in Math 19 is a better indicator of Calculus preparation than the placement exam.

Here are the course placements as well as the recommendations for Fall 2018 admits who are majoring in Science, Engineering and Math.
