I received my Ph.D. in mathematics from University of Belgrade, Yugoslavia in 1975. I taught both undergraduate and graduate courses at University of Belgrade and Temple University, Philadelphia, before coming to SJSU in 1986.

I've conducted research in mathematical logic, algebra, theoretical computer science, computational and applied mathematics, and mathematical physics. I've authored 3 books and over 60 research papers published in refereed journals or presented at scientific conferences (including a number of invited talks at major international conferences), and have given numerous invited colloquium talks and seminars at universities in US and abroad.
