TEACHING POSITIONS AVAILABLE FOR FALL 2012 & SPRING 2013
NON-TENURE-TRACK TEACHING POSITIONS FOR FALL 2012
WE SEEK INSTRUCTORS INTERESTED IN TEACHING SECTIONS OF:
MET 10, “WEATHER & CLIMATE”
MET 12, “CLIMATE CHANGE: SCIENCE & SOLUTIONS”
MET 112, “GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE”
MET 113, “ATMOSPHERIC POLLUTION”
MET 10 & 12 are core (lower-division) General Education (GE) classes in which we discuss weather phenoma and our climate in descriptive, non-mathematical ways. We use the textbook by Ahrens.
MET 112 & 113 are SJSU Studies (upper-division) classes in which we discuss climate change (112) and air pollution (113) in more depth than at the lower-division level, although still with very little math. Different faculty choose different texts (and some choose none!)
AN EARNED M.S. DEGREE IN A RELATED FIELD IS GENERALLY THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENT.
CLASSES START WEDNESDAY AUGUST 22 AND END MONDAY DECEMBER 10.
Most sections are offered twice a week, with start times ranging from 9am to noon. We may offer one evening section of 112. We also offer online sections of both 10 and 112.
