Hip Hop for Change Conference
The Hip-Hop for Change Conference is a collaborative effort between MOSAIC, University of San Francisco, and Mills College. People from all over the Bay Area come together to use hip-hop as a liberating tool to empower, encourage, develop artistry through interactive workshops, keynote presentations, and to build community.
Diversity Advocate Intern Programs
MOSAIC works with 4 undergraduate interns to create peer education programs and events that concentrate on social justice and diversity issues.
Topics of past events include social identities, race and ethnicity, classism, activism, genderism, domestic violence prevention, as well as other topics. Programs are every Thursday during the Fall and Spring semesters from 5-7pm at the Mosaic Cross Cultural Center, unless otherwise noted (Spring 2014 programs will take place on Tuesdays 6-8pm).
DAI’s also participate in the MOSAIC WORD! Poetry Series, a monthly spoken word series, that invites members of the SJSU community to share artistic talents with their peers. For the Spring 2014 semester, Word! Open Mic events are held every first Tuesday of the month at Cafe Pomegranate from 6-8pm.
