Building MTC
The Metropolitan Technology Center's 200,000 square feet of research and educational facilities are anticipated to be complete within the next five years. The entire NASA Research Park anticipates completion to be almost fifteen years. Many MTC programs are already in existence at NASA and it is expected that all program activity will be operational prior to full facility development.
Our Interim Site at the NASA Research Park
As we continue our long-term planning, SJSU is pleased to be located in an interim facility, Bldg 583c, on site within the NRP. The SJSU building is a 9,500 square feet facility that serves as a satellite campus for the Metropolitan Technology Center. With several classrooms and offices, it provides a location to offer academic classes and workshops, as well a space for faculty developing research partnerships with NASA scientists to work, write and plan. Located within the non-secured portion of NASA Ames, faculty and sutdents can enter and exit the facility with ease - only needing a driver license for identification.
