SJSU Classes Now Offered On-Site at NASA
With the signing of the Space Act Agreement between the Metropolitan Technology Center and NASA Ames Research Center, SJSU now provides courses taught on-site at NASA. During the summer of 2003 four engineering course were held and during the fall 2003 semester, five courses were held at MTC. This represents approximately 300 SJSU students who attended classes at the SJSU north satellite campus.
The 2004 academic plan for on-site courses and workshops is currently underway. The spring semester has four engineering courses being held and a teacher institute in science and technology has also been scheduled for the summer. We are also beginning work on the development of customized professional development programming targeting the needs of the NASA and surrounding industry workforce.
