San José State University's location in the Silicon Valley makes it an exceptionally rewarding learning environment for students and an exciting place for faculty to teach and conduct research. Silicon Valley companies seek SJSU students for internships, summer work programs and for assistance with research and development projects. SJSU's Metropolitan Technology Center provides tremendous value to Silicon Valley and ultimately the state of California. When fully operational, MTC will provide:
- Students that are better trained in science, math and technology and can provide a more targeted workforce that meets the demands of high tech in California.
