We are pleased that you are joining the San José State University family, one whose history stretches back nearly 150 years. You are embarked on a great journey, and you will now be part of a long and proud tradition. There will be challenges as well as opportunities ahead. We want you to master the challenges and take on the opportunities, and we want to help you in that endeavor. Being a university student can be one of life’s most exciting passages. It opens up a world of new ideas, intellectual growth, social and cultural activities, new adventures, and the making of lifelong friendships. Take time to explore not only the many educational experiences available but also the wide range of social and cultural activities offered.
