Dr. William Meredith serves as a music history teacher and Beethoven Scholar-in-Residence. Director of Ira F. Brilliant Center for Beethoven Studies, he is the editor of The Beethoven Newsletter and author of numerous published and forthcoming articles in this and other journals. He was awarded the German Academic Exchange Service Grant to research Beethoven's sketches and other autographs at the Staatbibliothek Preussischer Kulturbesitz in West Berlin and at the Beethoven archive in Bonn, and Smith Graduate Research Fund to assist in dissertation studies and research.
Dr. Meredith has performed as a soloist at the Church of the Holy Family in Chapel Hill, North Carolina; Independent Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, Alabama; Canterbury United Methodist Church in Mountain Brook, Alabama; and the Schola Cantorum at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. He served as Choral Conductor at the University Baptist Church, Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, and the University Summer Chorus in Chapel Hill.
