Wireless Network

The campus-wide Comcast wireless network, sponsored by Associated Students and San José State University, started full operation on December 16, 2005.  The wireless network covers almost every building and classroom on the main campus, including  the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. library plus buildings on th south campus and Spartan Stadium.  You can also connect wirelessly from outdoor areas around the Student Union, University House, MacQuarrie and Sweeney Halls and the MLK library.  This is a major milestone in accessibility for students, faculty and employees on the campus and in the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr library.

One special feature of the network is the "Walled Garden" that provides links to the websites for the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library, City of San Jose and SJSU without any login. For connections to other websites such as yahoo.com or eBay.com, you will need to log in with a valid SJSUOne ID and password. If you do not have an SJSUOne ID, you can obtain on-line at www.sjsu.edu/sjsuone. For further questions or technical help call
(408) 924-2377.
