Is the wireless network different than the campus wired network?
The wireless network is part of the Comcast network and is owned and managed for the University by Comcast.  It is not directly connected to the University network.  You can connect to the campus network accross the Internet through firewalls just like your home ISP.  Most resources that can be reached through a typical ISP such as Comcast, AOL, Netzero or SBC, will be reachable through this network.
