Greg Wolcott Picture

Gregory Wolcott

Interim Director

Dr. Gregory V. Wolcott is thrilled to to return to SJSU, where he began his professional career in higher education, as the Interim Director of New Student and Family Programs. Dr. Wolcott has worked professionally in higher education/student affairs for 15 years in the areas of student engagement and new student programs. He has also taught courses in counseling, leadership, and first year experience seminars. Dr. Wolcott previously worked at the University of San Francisco where he was responsible for leading orientation and transition initiatives, as well as activities that extend orientation into the fall semester.

Rigoberto Flores Jr.


Mr. Flores has worked professionally at San Jose State University (SJSU) since August 2015 serving as a program coordinator in the area of new student programs and a part time instructor teaching public speaking and co-teaching a student leadership course. Earning both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Communication Studies from SJSU, Mr. Flores is a proud alumnus committed to enhancing the Spartan experience for all incoming and current students.

Jill Goodwin

Support Coordinator

Mrs. Goodwin joins New Student and Family Programs after spending much of her career as a Girl Scouts Troop Leader, a technology teacher, and a stay at home mother. A native of the Bay Area and a San Jose State alumna, she is thrilled to be back at her alma mater assisting the Frosh Orientation program in its operations and administration.
