Dr. Gregory V. Wolcott is thrilled to return to SJSU, where he began his professional career in higher education, as the Director of New Student and Family Programs. Dr. Wolcott has worked professionally in higher education/student affairs for 15 years in the areas of student engagement and new student programs. He has also taught courses in counseling, leadership, and first year experience seminars. Dr. Wolcott previously worked at the University of San Francisco where he was responsible for leading orientation and transition initiatives, as well as activities that extend orientation into the fall semester.

Mr. Flores has worked professionally at San Jose State University (SJSU) since August 2015 serving as a program coordinator in the area of new student programs and a part time instructor teaching public speaking and co-teaching a student leadership course. Earning both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Communication Studies from SJSU, Mr. Flores is a proud alumnus committed to enhancing the Spartan experience for all incoming and current students.

Orientation Coordinator 

Ms. Sisneros is a proud SJSU alumna who is honored to return to campus as a professional in Student Affairs. She is very familiar with the campus and the community having previous work experiences within University Housing Services, Associated Students and Orientation and Transition Programs. She earned her master's degree in Equity and Social Justice in Education at San Francisco State University. She is very passionate about helping both students and their families succeed in higher education. Ms. Sisneros is eager to make a positive contribution to New Student and Family Programs and she is very excited to once again sport the Spartan blue and gold!

Administrative Support Coordinator

Maribel Flores joined the New Student and Family Programs at San Jose State University (SJSU) in April 2019. She attended California State University, Fresno where she majored in Liberal Studies. Ms. Flores has worked for two institutions in the California State University (CSU) system and brings over 15 years of administrative experience. Most recently she was at San Diego State University where she worked for 10 years in several programs with Student Affairs and the College of Education. Ms. Flores is thrilled to join the New Student and Family Programs as the Administrative Support Coordinator! She looks forward to making a difference in the lives of students and their families of the SJSU community!
