TEAS EXAM: GENERAL INFORMATION
The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) is required as an Entrance Requirement and is part of the admission process “impaction scoring” for the School of Nursing.
STEP #1: ATI is the vendor that processes this contract. Please log on to www.atitesting.com and obtain a paper/pencil personal ID number from the ATI WEBSITE, at least two to three weeks prior to the testing date. You will not be allowed to take the exam unless you have this personal ID code form this ATI website ahead of time… Student ID and social security numbers are not acceptable for using on the day of the test itself. You must know your ATI identification code. Failure to show up for the prearranged test will lose their prepaid test fee.
This exam has four parts: English, Math, Science and Reading Comprehension and is based on knowledge acquired at the high school level. The test begins at 7:45 a.m. and lasts approx 4 hours. Within 7-9 days of taking the exam, you can print your test results online using your ATI identification code. This printout will be attached to your application packet. Your composite score must be at least 75 (this is not percentile grade and few score any higher than 94). If it is lower than 75, you will need to repeat it to get a higher score to apply.
