NURS 101B Sign Up Procedures

TO:                  Students scheduled for second N101B ATI Predictor 2.0 exam

This is to announce that the ATI 2.0 paper and pencil exam will be available in
The Testing Center, located in IS 228. You must call that office as soon as possible
(924-5980) to schedule a time to take the exam there sometime this week or next week (4/9-4/20/07).

NOTE: There will be no group meeting on 4/21/07 as previously scheduled.
Since there are only 9 students needing to take this exam, this arrangement                   should better facilitate your individual schedules.

The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) is required
as an Entrance Requirement for the School of Nursing.  
This exam has four parts English, Math, Science, and
Reading Comprehension and is based on knowledge
Acquired at the high school level.

At SJSU the test is being administered by the Spartan Shops for
a fee of  $40.00  To register and pay the fee, you must go online at
http://www.spartanbookstore.com/MerchList.aspx?ID=877

Fall 2006 TEAS Exam Dates
Tests begin at 7:45 a.m. and lasts approx 4 hours

November 11, 2006
December 9, 2006
FEBRUARY 10, 2007
APRIL 14, 2007
MAY 12, 2007
OCTOBER 20, 2007
NOVEMBER 10, 2007
DECEMBER 1, 2007

Go to Dudley Moorhead Hall (DMH) (campus map #6) and look for a
room notice on the exterior door on the northeast corner (San Fernando
and 6th)  The test will take 3-4 hours.  You must bring your payment receipt,
a photo ID and several #2 pencils.  Calculators are not allowed.

You can obtain basic information about the test, and purchase a Study
Review Guide including sample questions at the following website:
www.atitesting.com.  There are a limited number of alternate sites also
administering the TEAS exam.  Those living outside the Northern California
geographic area should contact local universities to see if the TEAS test is
offered at those nearly universities.  The ATI organization does not currently
have this information.
