Fees
Undergraduate

In addition to University tuition and fees http://www.sjsu.edu/future_students_families/fees_and_financial_help/ , there are additional fees for students enrolled in laboratory and process courses (vary from $25-$75). Nursing students will have additional expenses for transportation (an automobile is almost always needed for clinical practicum courses), health insurance, professional liability insurance, uniforms, and equipment.

NOTE: The California Nursing Students Association (CNSA) has an office in the Health Building where some supplies are sold. An example of costs includes: malpractice insurance ($20/year), CNSA/National dues - optional ($40-45/year), blood pressure cuff ($35), stethoscope ($65 & up), and bandage scissors ($7); prices are subject to change and are lower for CNSA members.

The cost for required textbooks for the 6 semesters is approximately $2500, if purchased as new books. However, textbook prices do change so this cost is only approximate. Used texts are often available at the Spartan Bookstore, on campus, and at Roberts Bookstore, 330 South 10th Street.
