The goal of the Department of Occupational Therapy is to provide information and guidance to support students in their educational planning as they work to achieve career and life goals. After having gone through proper Advising, please go to the OT Programs for more information on the various degrees the department offers. If you have questions pertaining to a specific degree line, please contact the appropriate coordinator (information on the right hand side of this webpage).
In addition to the former requirements to be eligible for enrollment in the Occupational Therapy Bachelor of Science courses, be aware that an overall GPA of 2.8 and good standing in the University with a minimum SJSU GPA of 2.8 is now required. Also, advancement into the graduate courses requires: a minimum 3.0 GPA in the last 60 semester units of course work including the first three semesters of the occupational therapy undergraduate courses; 3.0 departmental GPA based on the first three semesters of course work; and completion of Graduate Record Examination (GRE) sometime during the first three semesters of your OT undergraduate classes and earned a combined score of 1,000 on quantitative and verbal (minimum GRE verbal score of 450 and a minimum writing score of 3.5).
