The Online Post-Professional Master's Degree Program

Note: The application period for the Fall 2012 class will open on October 1, 2011.

The online Master's degree program is a post-professional graduate program for experienced occupational therapists. This program is designed for the mature, working professional who needs a flexible educational program that eliminates the time and space demands of on-campus classroom instruction. The program is part-time so that you may continue to work. It is anticipated that your clinical work setting will provide a rich background for study.

The curriculum is based on adult learning and constructivist educational models. Course assignments and discussions allow you to directly apply course material to your clinical work. Classes are small and diverse, and students represent a variety of practice areas, work settings, and geographic locations.

The occupational therapy department at San José State University has established a national and international reputation for the excellence of its curriculum and faculty. The graduate program has consistently been rated as one of the top Occupational Therapy programs by US News and World Report. The online post-professional Master's program was established in 1999 and has a strong record of student success and achievement. The program is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

The Occupational Therapy Post-professional Distance Master's program is presented in cooperation with the San José State University Office of International and Extended Studies. For more information, contact:
