SJSU Student Enrollment Identification Card
Special Session and Open University students will be issued a Student ID Card at cashing window after registration and tuition payment at the Student Services Center. This card contains your SJSU ID number and the term you are enrolled in. To protect your privacy, this SJSU ID number replaces the use of Social Security Number for most SJSU transactions. This number cannot be changed.
If you lose your SJSU ID card or cannot remember your SJSU ID number, contact firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
User ID & Password
Special Session and Open University students will also receive User IDs and passwords by mail or email (if provided), approximately one month prior to the conclusion of the semester. Grade reports will no longer be mailed to students. Instead, students will use their User ID and passwords to retrieve grades from http://my.sjsu.edu within two weeks after the end of classes.
SJSU and the San José Public Library combined their resources and opened their doors to students and non-students. Gain access to books and a wealth of resources not offered with one library card before.
Visit Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Library and get your library card. Provide proof of address (CA ID) and your Special Session or Open University ID card to gain access to general library resources and services as well as student-only resources. Student Health Center
The Student Health Center (SHC) provides medical care to students enrolled at SJSU. In addition to treating acute conditions, injuries and illnesses, the (SHC) provides a family planning program and maintains an in-house licensed pharmacy, a physical therapy department, a federally certified high-complexity laboratory, and an x-ray department.
Registered Special Session and Open University students may access SHC services during any school term/session/intercession by paying $25/visit (plus the same augmented or specialty service fees that are paid by students who pay the MHF). To set up an appointment, call (408) 924-6122 or stop by the SHC appointment desk in room 106 of the Health Building.
Sport Club Fitness Center
Special Session and Open University students may purchase a day use pass or membership at a discount rate for the Sport Club Fitness Center is located in the San José State Event Center.
AS ECO Pass
As a Special Session and Open University student, you can pay the Associated Students fee and enjoy unlimited rides on all VTA Buses and Light Rail. To find out more about the benefits of ECO Pass and how to obtain one, please visit the Associated Students website.
