I am a new student, who has never enrolled at SJSU

  1. Request permission number from instructor on the first day of class (via email for online classes)
  2. Sign up for Open University. Follow the Tutorial for New Student (pdf).

    Quick Admit button for Summer will be available in April.

  3. Prior to enrolling in a course, use the PeopleSoft link to access your student account.

  4. After 48 hours of course enrollment, activate your SJSUOne account and use the blue MySJSU button on my.sjsu.edu.


I am a returning student, who took OU courses before or had an SJSU ID before

  1. Request permission number from instructor on the first day of class (via email for online classes)
  2. Have your existing student ID on hand.
  3. Follow Tutorial for Continuing Student (pdf) to enroll in class on MySJSU.


I am a SJSU student disqualified from the last term

  1. Request permission number from instructor on the first day of class (via email for online classes)
  2. Complete the paper registration form.
  3. Submit form to the Office of the Registrar.


I am a graduate-level student, who wants to take 200-level courses

  1. Request permission number from instructor on the first day of class (via email for online classes)
  2. Complete the paper registration form.
  3. Get approval from the Graduate Admission and Program Evaluation office.
  4. Submit form to the Office of the Registrar.
