Council parents take an active role in their children's education by increasing their involvement, their advocacy skills, and their knowledge of the college-going process.

 

The Parent Empowerment Council plans and sponsors family and community activities to raise funds for Upward Bound scholarships, serves as a parent advisory body to the program, and assists with communications to the program parents.

Activities:

• February dinner dance for parents and community
• Fundraising activities for Upward Bound scholarships
• Family and cultural events (Family Halloween Party, Casino Night,....)
