Analog & Mixed Signal
Demand in the area of analog and mixed signal is increasing exponentially. SJSU provides a hands-on approach that ensures that graduates are well-prepared to enter this burgeoning field.
The analog/mixed-signal IC design field of study is based on the use of standard fabrication technologies (e.g., CMOS and BiCMOS) to realize analog and mixed-signal functions on monolithic integrated circuits. Students will learn how to design basic analog building blocks used in industry and how to use them in system and product design. Students will use industry tools from SJSU labs to perform device-level circuit design and verification of the analog components covered in the classes.

After graduating from this program, students should be able to:
- Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of amplifier design, RF circuits, and broadband circuits
- Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of data converter, PLL, voltage regulators, power supplies, RF integrated circuits design, and signal integrity.

With a MS Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Analog and Mixed Signal, you can be working on any of the following and more:

Applying to the Program
Prospective students interested in the program are encouraged to complete a prequalification form so that a faculty advisor can review your background and make a determination about your suitability for the program.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Electrical Engineering or related field.
- TOEFL if required.
- GPA 3.0 or better.
- Conditional admissions might be granted for applicants with exceptional background and GPA less than 3.0 but greater than 2.5.
- NO GRE/GMAT Scores required.
- Experience in related industry preferred.
