Metaphysics and Epistemology
Description
This course will focus on the metaphysics and epistemology of perception and the self. We will be looking at literature from classical Indian philosophy, analytic philosophy, phenomenology, cognitive neuroscience, mathematics, and systems theory concerning perception and the self. Because both topics are specific topics within a larger area of epistemology and metaphysics we will look at the general structure of theories of knowledge and justification and theories of substance and property as well.
