Notes on driver install: Covers Windows 7 32 bit and 64 bit operating systems 1) Unplug the USB-232 device 2) Go to the add/remove programs and uninstall the SMUC driver. 3) Download and install CP210x_VCP_Win_XP_S2K3_Vista_7.exe. 4) Plug in the USB-232 device. 5) Go to the Device Manager. Look under Other devices, and right-click on the SmartMotor entry. Open the properties for the this device. 6) Select the driver tab. 7) Select Update driver. 8) Select "Browse my computer for driver software" 9) Select �Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer� 10) Look under Ports (COM and LPT) Select 'standard port types' in left box, and look down the list for the Manufacturer->Silicon Laboratories Select the Model, Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART Bridge Next (You may get a warning about installing an unverified driver. Don't worry about that) You should get a window that says that Windows has successfully updated your driver software (with Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART Bridge). You should see under the Ports branch in the Device Manager a COM port named Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART Bridge (COMx), where x is a number that your PC has allocated for the COM port
