Description

The purpose of this course is to provide students advanced treatment of research approaches used in social and personality psychology. Students will learn about and evaluate in classic and contemporary methods used in the domain of social and personality psychology. Students’ main activities in this course will be to design, implement, and communicate original research conducted in the area of social and personality psychology. Students will develop research designs appropriate to the hypotheses being tested, with an emphasis on experimental, quasi-experimental, or correlational designs. Data collection, statistical data analysis, and interpretation are an essential aspect of this process. Students will communicate the results of their research using appropriate professional disciplinary standards (i.e., APA style).
