Psychology 200: Seminar in Personality Theory
Time: Tuesdays & Thursdays 9:00 - 10:15
Location: DMH 308
Description
In this graduate course we will examine theories, problems and issues in the study of human social behavior from a personality psychology perspective. We will examine both classic and contemporary approaches to the study of personality
The primary objective of this course is to introduce students to the scientific study of personality. To this end, we will examine the research designs typically used in personality research (e.g., case studies, correlational, quasi-experimental), related statistical techniques (e.g., reliability, factor analysis, multiple regression), and how to evaluate construct validity of personality models and theories. We will then apply these concepts throughout the rest of the course.
