DsGD 105 Intermediate Graphic Design
Time: m/w, section 1: 12:30–3:20 pm, section 2: 3:30–6:20 pm
Location: 226 is
Description
The course will cover the various ways that design functions—how visual communication takes form and is recognized by an audience—as well as core issues inherent in design: word and image, structure, and sequence. Some essential by-products will be to expand the conceptual framework of projects through responding to formal experimentation and innovation, and to take part in immersive analysis and refinement of an individual design methodology. Assignments will be print-based in two and three dimensions, providing various phases of iteration and reconstitution of individual content and direction.
