Description
In this course we will explore the role of women in politics and civic life. Through a variety of readings, film, guest speakers and civic participation we will identify and analyze the myriad socio/cultural, physiological, and psychological issues that shape both our personal and political values as members of civil society. We will cover topics on suffrage, office holding and voting, the ERA, feminism, equality v. difference, and issues of diversity.
Assignments
