Bio
Dr. Goyal is an Associate Professor in the College of Applied Sciences and Arts in the School of Nursing. She teaches in the undergraduate and graduate programs and is the Advanced Placement Coordinator for the Bridge Program (RN to BS students). Her clinical background includes adult intensive care, recovery room nursing, and maternal-child health. She also works in an OB/GYN office as a nurse practitioner in Los Gatos, CA.
Dr. Goyal is active in several professional organizations including the California Association of Nurse Practitioners. Her research interests include postpartum depression and the effect that fragmented sleep and infant temperament have on the development of postpartum depression.
Dr. Goyal earned her BS in Nursing, MS, and certificate as a family nurse practitioner from San Jose State University, School of Nursing. She earned her doctorate from the University of California, San Francisco.
