Description
As you consume the media, are the media consuming you? This course focuses on American mass communication and its relation to how you live. We will examine the roles of print, broadcast, Internet, advertising and public relations in shaping society. The class will put several theories to the test. In particular, this semester the class will be analyzing print and broadcast coverage of the presidential election.
