This course teaches research skills that are necessary for "doing" sociology. The student learns how to collect quantifiable information about social interactions, groups, or organizations via observations, experiments, surveys, or other means. The student also gains practice analyzing quantitative data and properly reporting findings to others. Essentially, the course reveals the process of generating sociological knowledge.
