Professional and Business Ethics is an upper division GE course, Area S. In this course, we will study moral issues in contemporary business. We begin with the study of moral theory, turn to structural features of our economic system and the moral dimensions of that structure and then, finally, we'll address specific issues that arise in the everyday practice of business today. Topics include civil rights in the workplace, discrimination issues as well and environmental issues connected to business practice.
