PSYC 110: Abnormal Psychology

Description
This course is designed to provide you with an overview of the range of human behaviors described as “abnormal.” We will discuss the definition of normality and abnormality, how these definitions have changed over time and how they differ in various cultural contexts – as well as models of understanding human behavior and suffering. We will also discuss specific syndromes and diagnostic categories of psychopathology and will survey some of the treatments use for these disorders. Prerequisite: Psyc 001.
