Description: Primary research on American and European "outsider" art environments since 1974, including interviewing artists and documenting with still photography, video, audio, site plan drawings. Results have included articles, books, lectures, exhibitions, and a DVD. Support for the most recent component of this project, on Spanish art environments, was through a Fulbright Senior Scholar award 2008.
