I am interested in reading motivation techniques, specifically booktalking, the impact of technology on social and physical development, the impact of technology on youth communication styles, and the value of controversial literature for youth and its usefulness in the classroom. I have over 30 years experience as a youth librarian and youth advocate, and consider myself an expert in the areas of youth materials, services to youth in public libraries, outreach to youth in schools, and booktalking.
