Description
Theatre in Education covers the basics of teaching youth theatre in the K-12 classroom or in a recreational setting. Course focuses on: Creative Dramatic Techniques; Movement for Youth; California Standards for K-12 Theatre Arts; Child Development Stages and Theatre Arts; Classroom Management Strategies for Teaching Theatre Arts; Research on Theatre in the K-12 Classroom; The Development of Theatre Lesson Plans for the K-12 Classroom; and Practice Teaching with K-12 Students.
